Blaze Learns to Play Pool
Blaze Learns to Play Pool is a story about connections, resilience and communication through the love of a game. It advocates the importance of self confidence, gratitude and respect within competition. This book is both a tribute to the wonderful people I have met in the pool community and an ode to the sport itself. It reflects the joy and frustration I feel as a pool shark who is determined to improve her shooting and sportsmanship.
The Lonesome Unicorn
This book’s content evolved from my work with children with diverse needs, and from conversations with my closest friends about life, loyalty, and community. It was written while I was quarantining during the global pandemic.
I came to realize our hierarchical educational system can label students, stigmatize differences in learning, and neglect social education. So many children struggle with communication, empathy, and conflict resolution. We must prioritize teaching children positive thinking skills and effective communication.
